Local Food Pantry and Salvation Army Unit
Mission Statement
To provide charitable services within the Perry Community and to families and individuals.
To Qualify
Combined income of all in the household must be at or less than 200% of the U.S.poverty level and they must live, work or worship at least twice a month in Perry.
Assistance provided:
A one week supply of food, monthly
Help with rent after an eviction notice, annually
Help with utility payment with a disconnect notice, annualy.
Seasonal Assistance:
Easter baskets; Easter hams; Salvation Army Summer camp; School supplies; Thanksgiving turkeys/chickens and Christmas food boxes and gifts.
Generous donations from seven local churches; Faith Baptist, First Baptist, Lake Erie Church of God, New Life, Perry Christian, Perry United Methodist and St. Cyprian plus the Perry Community enable us to complete our mission.
Partnerships which supply additional assistance include: Sheetz Christmas party; Perry Women's League Clothing Room; Perry Schools which provides volunteers, monetary donations and food from their Giving Garden and food drives; The Greater Cleveland Food Bank and Toys for Tots.
Location:
4261 Manchester Road, annexed on to the left side of the Re-Education Center.
Hours of Operation:
Tuesday mornings, 9:00 to 12 noon and Friday afternoons 1:00 to 4:00
If the schools are closed because of inclement weather, so are we.
